ESM and Colorado Christian University Lead Session on Recruiting Online Students at 2012 UPCEA Annual Conference
ESM is joining forces with Colorado Christian University to help UPCEA members understand and deliver a recruitment and enrollment model that works for online students. Session attendees will learn how to make sure the process for online students is as fast, efficient and supportive as possible.
While many institutions approach recruitment and enrollment for online students much the same way as on-ground students, there are several notable differences. Online students have different expectations and needs. They tend to require immediate responses and faster processes; they expect to be able to complete the enrollment and admissions process quickly; and they often want to start the program as soon as possible.
Murray Smith, Chief Marketing Officer of ESM, and Chuck Klijewski, Associate Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing at CCU, will cover critical areas in the recruitment and enrollment process that enable schools to meet the needs and demands of online students. Topics of discussion will include communication frequency, response times, marketing, institutional policies and organizational infrastructure. The presentation is based on a white paper authored by Smith.
