New ESM eBook Explores Traditional, Mobile and Social Mediums in Student Recruitment

Technology has made it possible for colleges and students to connect in a variety of ways.  When schools better understand a prospective student’s preferred method of communications, they are able to provide a higher level of support throughout the recruitment process and increase the likelihood that the student will enroll in the program.

ESM’s new eBook, “Customized Communication Strategies to Maximize Recruitment,” looks at the trends in different communication mediums, as well as how and when they should be used to connect with prospective students.

Colleges and universities need to leverage numerous communication vehicles to find the most effective way to interact with prospects and truly customize the recruitment experience for each individual. Institutions should consider the following:

  • Contacting prospects immediately
  • Leveraging mobile communications
  • Implementing click-to-call functionality
  • Engaging in social networking
  • Standing behind the tried-and-true telephone

Since colleges and universities are serving different types of students in a wide variety of age ranges, a one-size-fits-all communications solution does not exist.  Until the time when every generation has grown up using technology, schools will need to be flexible enough to accommodate every preference.

ESM provides student lifecycle solutions to help students enroll, graduate and succeed.  To download a free copy of the eBook, please visit: http://www.esm-sls.com/communication-strategies-to-maximize-recruitment.
