        <description>ESM Continues to Gives Back
“Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.”
-Albert Einstein
At ESM, our values all stem from the belief that we are a principle-centered organization. In other words, we care as much about how we act as we do about what we accomplish. Giving back to each other and to our community makes us who we are.
Over the years, we have focused on giving back through a variety of fundraising and volunteer programs. This year, ESM has supported the following organizations:
· Brent’s Place
· Pat Tillman Fundraiser Run
· Take your child to work day
· Boxtops for Education
· Red Cross Blood Drive
· Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
· Denver Educational Outreach Program
· Imagine American Foundation
· Tennyson Center
· Denver Rescue Mission
The time and money donated to these important groups was made possible by the kindness and generosity of our employees. Together, we believe we can make a difference by embracing the spirit of giving, now and throughout the year.
In the words of Albert Einstein, we would like to thank our employees for living “a life worthwhile.” On behalf of all of us at ESM, we wish each of you health and happiness this holiday season and in the New Year!

<description>Network with ESM at the Federal Student Aid Annual Conference
The FSA Conference (http://fsaconferences.ed.gov/orlando12.html), which is the largest financial aid conference offered to the financial aid community, is just around the corner and ESM will be on-site networking with attendees. If you or any of your colleagues will be attending, please let us know!
The conference takes place Tuesday, November 27th – Friday, November 30th at the Peabody Orlando. Kristine Creely, our Regional Vice President, will be meeting with financial aid directors and advisors to discuss the state of the financial aid industry and ways to better manage the process for schools and students alike.
This year's conference program will primarily focus on topics related to changes in Title IV policies and programs impacting schools participating in the federal student aid programs. The event provides the most up-to-date information on Title IV programs and the evolving federal policies and procedures affecting institutions, as well as technologies to improve practices for supporting aid applicants and recipients.
We hope to see you in Orlando!

<description>Learn When Outsourcing Makes Sense, and When it Can Eat Up Half of Your Revenue
Strategically speaking, outsourcing makes sense to a lot of institutions, but only when they truly understand where their core competencies lie, specifically what areas they should be outsourcing, and ultimately, what it will cost them.
Jon Hazelgren, Regional Vice President of Business Development for Xerox Education Services, will be leading an in-depth session on outsourcing effectiveness at the Association for Continuing Higher Education (ACHE) 2012 Annual Conference (http://www.acheinc.org/ache2012/index.html). He will explore two outsourcing models – Total Program Management and Fee-for-Service, and the benefits and costs of each. Jon’s presentation takes place on Wednesday, November 14th at 10:30 a.m.
This year’s ACHE conference theme is “Collaboration and Partnership: Our Keys to the Future.” Attendees will gather at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol from November 12th – 14th to learn how they can effectively partner with higher education experts to advance education and better support students.
Jon has more than 19 years of experience in higher education. He has served as Associate Director of Student Services at a small private institution and a two-year community college, worked as call center manager for Borrower Services at Utah Higher Education, and as a Business Development Manager for Citibank Student Loans.
ACHE (http://www.acheinc.org/) is an institution-based organization of colleges, universities, and individuals dedicated to the promotion of lifelong learning and excellence in continuing higher education.
We hope to see you in Austin!

<description>Don’t Miss Your Chance to See ESM and Xerox at SUNY’s 2012 Critical Issues in Higher Education Conference
This year’s Critical Issues in Higher Education Conference (http://www.suny.edu/powerofsuny/conference/2012/) is centered around the concept of “systemness,” that is, the way that colleges and universities retool and rebuild system models to meet current changes ahead. ESM and Xerox will be networking with New York educators to talk about the systems and processes they have in place to effectively and efficiently manage enrollment services, financial aid, student retention support, help desk support, career placement, loan default prevention, and more.
The State University of New York (SUNY (http://www.suny.edu/)) is hosting the event, in which attendees will explore organizational models for delivering higher education to meet new realities. The event takes place November 8th – 9th at the Millennium Broadway Hotel in New York City.
SUNY operates 64 unique learning environments for every type of student, every stage of life, and every kind of passion. SUNY is truly a universe of knowledge, encompassing every field of human inquiry - disciplines that range from music to mechanics, and perspectives from the molecular to the macroeconomic.
We hope to see you New York!</description>
